About

(under construction)

Copper Crow Metals is an eclectic collection of jewelry, containers and sculpture. Each piece is hand constructed using traditional silver- smithing techniques. Designs often incorporate elements of movement and surprise.

Why Copper? Because it is an amazing metal, and likely the first metal discovered and used by early humans around 8000 BC. Copper has a place on the periodic table of the elements where it is designated Cu, with atomic # 29. Copper is alloyed with different ores to create brass, bronze, sterling silver and gold alloys below 22kt. Copper and its alloys can be patinated to create a rich spectrum of colors and textures. Copper is in every piece crafted here.

Why Crow? Crows are brilliant birds- clever and curious. Certain crow species create and use tools. They are social, playful and like shiny objects. Crows can recognize faces and are far more interested and aware of humans than most wild animals.
